As climate change worsens droughts\, hurricanes\, and crop diseases in the region\, individuals are forced by hunger or lack of economic opportunities to leave their homes. Come hear from organizations supporting communities impacted by or facing risks from climate change in Central America. What is the U.S. government’s role in regulating the operations of asset managers and banks that finance destruction and human rights violations in the Amazon? Dozens of laws that protect the environment\, public health\, and sacred lands were waived to speed construction.
